Ciné Quartier 13, the free open-air cinema open to everyone, returns to light up the 13th arrondissement!
For this 2026 edition, the Mairie du 13 e invites you on a unique, sensitive journey open to the world, through a theme that brings us all together: “From here or elsewhere.” On Friday, August 7 at Jardin Françoise Giroud (in the center of Place d'Italie), come discover or rediscover The Young and Prodigious T. S. Spivet, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, which will take you on a coming-of-age adventure full of curiosity and wonder. As tradition has it, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset before the film begins, with the screening starting only at nightfall. Synopsis: T.S. Spivet lives on an isolated ranch in Montana with his parents, his sister Gracie, and his brother Layton. A gifted little boy with a passion for science, he has invented a perpetual motion machine, earning him the highly prestigious Baird Prize from the Smithsonian Museum in Washington. Without telling his family, he sets off alone to claim his reward and crosses the United States on a freight train. But no one there imagines that the lucky winner is only ten years old, and that he carries a very heavy secret...
