HEADSEND (10:00 p.m.) (Grunge - Byron Bay, AUS) Headsend, a trio from Byron Bay, Australia’s surfing paradise, has ridden a remarkably successful wave in recent months. Fortunately, brothers Rasmus and Kyuss King—actors, surfers and musicians—along with their bandmate Bon Soric, seem to be handling it all rather well. Their debut EP, « Angel Glands », released in late March, certainly shows no sign of them being unsettled by it. Their early shows opening for Tool and AC/DC in front of tens of thousands of people also caused quite a stir. In fact, their hard-hitting grunge-stoner rock sounds so confident that calling them “newcomers” almost feels out of place.
