Hans Luchs is a jazz guitarist, composer, and bandleader based in New York. Originally from Chicago, he has performed at prestigious venues across the United States and internationally. His career has taken him from iconic jazz clubs to major festivals and concert halls. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Pepe Aguilar, Martha Reeves, and Shirley King. As a bandleader, he has earned acclaim from specialist critics for his albums. His latest release, "The Spell is Broken" (2025), features eight original compositions blending a range of contemporary jazz styles and influences. The album entered leading jazz charts and was warmly received by audiences. Known for his versatility and improvisational flair, Hans has developed an approach that is both modern and deeply rooted in the jazz tradition. He also plays a major teaching role at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. His musical world combines creativity, virtuosity, and an openness to different musical cultures.
