Alexis Wong INTERVALLES PERM É ABLES / Porous Pauses July 9 — July 26, 2026 LooLooLook Gallery is pleased to announce Alexis Wong’s solo exhibition with curator Caroline Arhuero. Between forms, a space of transformation With Intervalles perméables, Alexis Wong unfolds a world where the boundaries between the living and the built, the natural and the artificial, become shifting and porous. Through a series of sculptures and installations combining driftwood, beeswax, resin, steel, and translucent materials, the artist creates landscapes in constant transformation, suspended between organic growth and human-made structures. Hybrid forms emerge, spread, and seem to converse with one another. At times archaeological remains, biological fragments, or imaginary architectures, the works inhabit the space like organisms in the making. Inspired by the Chinese concept of shi (势), which views space as a field of relationships and potentialities, the exhibition invites visitors to pay attention to the invisible forces that shape beings, objects, and their environment. At the heart of Alexis Wong’s practice, matter is never fixed: it becomes a vehicle for transformation, adaptation, and coexistence. The assemblages she creates resist definitive classification and open spaces of uncertainty where familiarity and strangeness meet. At the crossroads of Chinese traditions of thought and contemporary reflections on space and ecology, Intervalles perméables offers a sensory and contemplative experience. The exhibition invites visitors to slow down, observe, and experience the many relationships that silently weave together the world around us. _ Opening Reception Thursday, July 9, 2026 6 PM — 9 PM In the presence of the artist.
