For European Heritage Days, the Ville de Paris invites you to uncover the secrets of Parisian heritage, opening the doors of iconic venues for free tours! The Fonds d'art contemporain - Paris Collections storage facilities will be open for the occasion on Friday, September 18, 2026. The Fonds d'art contemporain: Since its creation in 1816, the Fonds d’art contemporain – Paris Collections collection has chronicled more than two centuries of artistic creation. Today, it comprises three major sections: - Historical (before 1914) – Nearly 1,600 works, mainly bronze sculptures. - Modern (1914–1969) – Consisting primarily of paintings, this section makes up two-thirds of the collection and reflects the major artistic movements of the 20th century. - Contemporary (since 1970) – Encompassing all media, this section is expanded each year through new acquisitions that support today’s artists. The ticketing link will be activated in the first half of September.
