Ahead of his induction into the Panthéon on June 23, discover the Parisian journey of Marc Bloch, historian and Resistance fighter, through a commemorative exhibition at the Archives de Paris.
On June 23, 2026, Marc Bloch (1886-1944) will symbolically enter the Panthéon alongside his wife Simonne, née Vidal (1894-1944). France is thus honoring the courage of this brilliant historian, who joined the Resistance in 1943 and was executed by the Germans on June 16, 1944, in Saint-Didier-de-Formans (Ain). To mark the occasion, the Archives de Paris are presenting a selection of documents from their collections tracing the Paris years of the 84th person inducted into the Panthéon.
