Nature as a source of inspiration: An exhibition of illustrations by Kei

When nature becomes a work of art; Credits: KEI Throughout October, the Maurice Genevoix library is hosting an exhibition of naturalist illustrations by the artist Kei. Fascinated by the living world, she takes a sensitive and meticulous look at insects—small creatures that often go unnoticed but are essential to the balance of our ecosystems. Through a series of highly detailed black-and-white drawings, the artist reveals the wealth of shapes, textures, and details found in the insect world. Bumblebees, butterflies, ants, and bugs become fascinating subjects for observation and creation, at the intersection of art and natural science. This exhibition is part of our special program “Nature as a Source of Inspiration,” which invites children and adults alike to see the living world around us in a new light and discover how it fuels artists’ imaginations. To extend this encounter, on Saturday, November 28 at 4 p.m., Kei will lead an illustration workshop where participants can discover her artistic approach and learn the basics of naturalist observation and drawing. Exhibition open to visitors without booking Workshop for adults and children aged 8 and over; advance registration is required by calling 01 46 07 35 05, emailing [email protected], or speaking to the librarians on site. Places are limited. ; Credits: Kei Find out more about Kei here: Instagram @keikomasterdream
