The Jazz à la Villette Festival | Under the Radar & Studio de l'Ermitage present Arnaud Roulin:
Following the critical success of his debut album Massages for Piano, Voyage Pentatonique is the new solo album by pianist and composer Arnaud Roulin, who has performed alongside Jeanne Added, Laurent Bardainne and Thomas de Pourquery. Blending piano and synthesizers, it is a cosmic chamber work for piano and synth-phonic orchestra, where composition and improvisation meet. Moving between jazz, classical and atmospheric music, Arnaud Roulin draws on influences ranging from Beverly Glenn-Copeland and Pink Floyd to Mahler and Kraftwerk. In the age of artificial intelligence and automated music, every path seems to have already been explored. Voyage Pentatonique celebrates the humanity of creation: embracing accidents, the unknown and chance. Ready for takeoff? Arnaud Roulin: piano and synthesizers
