Anaïs, Cuba’s captivating voice, grew up listening to boleros and performs alongside legends. Her passion takes her from Paris to Hong Kong, creating a mesmerizing musical fusion!
Born in Havana, Anais discovered the roots of her passion for music within her family, growing up to the rhythm of the boleros sung by her grandmother and the sound of her mother’s piano resonating throughout the house. Fascinated from an early age by the neighborhood bands performing across the street from her home, fate stepped in when she was spotted by the very musicians who had inspired her dreams. Her career began alongside major names such as Odelkis Reve, El Cabo, and Chamiso. She went on to perform throughout Cuba with Arnaldo y su Talisman’s orchestra, while also discovering the world of live entertainment as part of the Havana Night team. Artistic encounters brought her to Europe: after Luxembourg and Spain, Anaïs discovered France and Paris, the City of Light. There she met her fellow Cuban Yosvani Quiros, with whom she collaborated in the renowned Fiesta Cubana ensemble. The charm of this young woman and her captivating soul voice quickly won over Parisian audiences. She then appeared on major Parisian stages, in Argenteuil, at the Backup, and at the New Morning. Other artists from very different musical backgrounds soon chose to work with this deeply sensitive singer, creating rich cross-cultural collaborations. Through her work with Laurent Hounsavi, Anaïs rekindled the connection between the Caribbean and Africa and performed in Hong Kong in 2010.
