Amid disasters, gags, and poetry, the Galactik Ensemble acrobats find themselves swept up in situations beyond their control.
Five performers grapple with an inventive, fast-paced contraption from which they try to escape. Moving tables, unsteady floors, upside-down worlds: an array of devices that upend reality and place each performer in an uncertain universe. Playing with notions of (im)balance and instability, the show explores the tension between reality and perception—the subjective way we observe what unfolds. In these seemingly hopeless situations, a remarkable power to act emerges. However clumsy they may be, these everyday heroes display an irresistible ability to spring into action.
