Mixed-Media Collage Workshop — All levels, no prerequisites
This workshop offers an exploration of drawing, collage, and the assembly of various materials. Through a process of research and experimentation, each participant will develop a personal project culminating in an original artwork. Teaching methods - Presentation of visual materials featuring artists’ works and sources of inspiration - Reference documents provided - Technique demonstrations: drawing, cutting, collage, assembly, etc. Workshop program - Discovery of works by artists who have explored collage and three-dimensional art - Presentation of the equipment available in the studio - Exploration and hands-on use of materials (cardboard, thread, fabric, etc.) - “In the style of” technique demonstrations: drawing, cutting, carving, assembling, gluing, sanding - Free experimentation: handling materials and constructing space through assembly - Development of the creative process: producing preparatory sketches, creating a collage model, and moving on to a final bas-relief or three-dimensional piece - Creation of personal projects: cardboard collage and bas-relief, or collage combined with three-dimensional elements (cardboard, fabric, wool, thread, etc.).
