All levels, ages 15 and up. This workshop focuses on learning colored pencil techniques and choosing colors, adding details while creating depth and texture to produce an animal portrait.
During this workshop, you will learn alongside Barbara Charpentier, a wildlife artist, how to use colored pencils to precisely capture the texture of fur and the depth of an animal’s gaze, creating beautiful, realistic artwork while also developing a personal and creative style. In the first part of the workshop, you will learn the specific features of this technique, including layering, color nuances, the use of white, and how to render fur, eyes, and the muzzle. In the second part, you will create a portrait of a fox from a photograph. As you develop your observational skills and focus on details, the instructor will guide you step by step in creating a realistic and lifelike drawing.
