Introduction to podcasting: creating an audio portrait. This workshop covers the production of a short audio report, from concept to editing.
The workshop begins with exercises that allow participants to familiarize themselves with lightweight professional equipment and gain hands-on experience recording sound in the field. Participants then learn how to conduct interviews and build a story using sound by producing an audio portrait. Workshop program: - introduction to different podcast formats (interviews, reports, talks, narration, etc.), - identifying the stages of production, - learning to use recording equipment, - learning to use editing software, - reporting and interview techniques, - writing a statement of intent, - recording, - editing, - group listening session and review of the results. No prior technical skills are required for this workshop. Participants who have their own recording equipment (Zoom H5, H4, microphones, etc.) are welcome to bring it.
