Ceramic modeling and decoration workshop This workshop will focus mainly on designing and creating ceramic decorations, while also covering techniques for shaping pieces.
Over these four days, we will explore various ceramic decoration techniques: slips, sgraffito, mishima, marbled clay, stenciling, and stamping. First, participants will create test shards and small decorated tiles to discover and experiment with these techniques. They will then develop a small series of 5 to 6 functional or decorative objects, decorating them with one of the techniques studied during the workshop. Please note - The pieces cannot be fired before the workshop ends. - Participants will therefore need to return at a later date to collect them. - Glazing will not be covered during this workshop. - We will focus exclusively on the decoration techniques mentioned above. Prerequisites Some basic knowledge of modeling and drawing or illustration would be helpful, but this workshop is also suitable for beginners.
