Summer 2022, Beyrouth. A concrete block set directly on the rock since 1953, facing the Méditerranée. The Sporting Club, a legendary, resilient, popular place where, for a few euros, every kind of body gathers in the sun.
This is where Sonia Tir set down her film camera. Not to document, but to feel. Bodies jumping, rusted ladders, closed parasols, burning concrete under bare feet. Seven photographs seeking to convey the brutality and sensuality of a place outside time, sheltered for a moment from the noise of the world.
