An unusual chess tournament for chess and running enthusiasts.
THE CONCEPT Matches are played as usual, with just one twist… the clock is located about ten meters from the chessboard. You’ll need either stamina or the ability to finish your chess game quickly. WHO IS IT FOR? Open to everyone and all skill levels. Chess beginners are welcome. THE FORMAT 1. QUALIFYING (1h) All participants play 3 matches at a time control of approximately 10 minutes, with no eliminations. 2. THE CUP (1h) The top 8 face off in a knockout tournament: quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. Casual games will run alongside the tournament, with chessboards freely available throughout the event. PRACTICAL INFORMATION Chessboards will be available from 3 p.m. The Chess Running tournament starts at 3:30 p.m.
Price: Casual games are free to join. However, places in the Chess Running tournament are limited and registration is required.
