SHIBUUYA is where beatmaking meets jazz, where Moses Yoofee and Yussef Dayes come together, and where Japanese anime samples collide with jazz.
Tokyo, 3:54 a.m. Three kids roam the streets, their faces lit by neon signs. With neck-snapping grooves and wild riffs, they take you on a nocturnal, hell-raising ride: nu-jazz infused with hip-hop and broken beat. SHIBUUYA is where beatmaking meets jazz, where Moses Yoofee, Kiefer, and Yussef Dayes come together, and where Japanese anime samples collide with jazz. Ferocious grooves you'll want to spin until the record breaks. Two months after forming, the trio played at Jazz à Vienne before releasing their debut album and opening for Yoni Mayraz. The next chapter unfolds tonight! Pierre-Louis Varnier / keyboards Lucas Benedetti / bass Japhet Boristhène / drums
