The Butô workshop offers an immersion in the authentic essence of Butô, led by an experienced Japanese Butô master. Through a diverse range of exercises, participants discover a wide variety of Japanese approaches combining physical conditioning, sensory awareness, and movement. Throughout the workshop, outdoor activities enrich the exploration of movement, offering a direct connection with the environment. To conclude, a performance crowns the experience, bringing practice and expression together. Butô is a form of physical expression that originated in Japan, inviting everyone to explore movement with freedom, sensitivity, and imagination. Open to all, this workshop is led by an experienced Japanese teacher. Through a wide variety of exercises, participants develop body awareness, attentiveness to sensations, quality of presence, and creativity in movement. The program alternates between studio explorations and outdoor practice in an exceptional setting in the heart of Paris, near the Seine and its historic heritage. This combination offers fresh perspectives on the body and space. The workshop is suitable for dancers, actors, and performers as well as people with no artistic experience who are curious to discover a new way of exploring movement. A final presentation, open to the public, concludes this immersive week.
