The Food Temple Maroc food festival is taking over Carreau du Temple’s 1,800 m² Halle for three days in mid-September! Enjoy rich, colorful cuisine, take part in cooking workshops, or dance to concerts and DJ sets. As part of Saison Méditerranée 2026, this tenth edition of the Food Temple festival celebrates Moroccan culture and cuisine, offering a truly immersive experience!
Food Temple is celebrating its tenth edition! Following Colombia, Australia, and Brazil last year, the vast Halle at Carreau du Temple invites visitors on a cultural and culinary journey into the heart of Morocco, with Chef Fatéma Hal and Chef Adel Alaoui as the event’s patrons. Rich in flavors and captivating aromas, Moroccan cuisine draws its identity from a subtle blend of Berber, Arab-Andalusian, and Jewish traditions. From pastilla to couscous, tajine to méchoui, and sweet treats such as gazelle horns, it tells a diverse and generous story. Over three days, tastings, meals, workshops, and culinary masterclasses will introduce visitors to traditional recipes and more contemporary creations. The Temple’s small souk will bring together a selection of artisans traveling especially from Marrakech and Essaouira, with stalls filled with fragrant spices, aromatic olive oils, and colorful ceramics. Beneath the Halle, the artistic program continues this dialogue between tradition and modernity. Historical and contemporary photography, concerts, and documentaries reveal a multifaceted, creative, and evolving contemporary Morocco. The guiding principle for these three days? A joyful festival open to everyone, where visitors can discover, taste, and celebrate the richness of Moroccan culture in a spirit of sharing.
