Friday, August 7 at 8 p.m.: Église Saint Philippe du Roule - 154 rue du Fbg St Honoré, 75008 Paris & Saturday, August 8 at 4 p.m.: Église St Séverin - Rue des Prêtres St Séverin, 75005 Paris. Grand Gospel Concert performed by the 50 singers of the Medina Community Choir from the Isle of Wight (England). To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the choir has chosen Paris for two exceptional major concerts. During their last French tour in 2022, various media outlets covered them: LE PROGRÈS, OUEST-FRANCE … - The gospel concert, held in August 2022 at the collégiale Notre-Dame-du-Bellay (Maine-et-Loire), drew a crowd rarely seen in this church, with around 600 people attending. - We all need help, kindness, and love. It was in this spirit that the Medina Community Choir, from England's Isle of Wight, gave this concert. - From the very first rhythms, the audience was swept up in this lively music. The program included classics such as “Oh Happy Day,” “When the Saints,” and “Glory Glory Hallelujah,” as well as more solemn songs such as “Hallelujah.” - Accompanied by several musicians on keyboard, guitar, and violin, the 50 singers delivered a deeply moving performance throughout the concert, particularly with the final song, “Circle of Life,” the famous number from the film “The Lion King.” The entire group was rewarded with an enthusiastic standing ovation from the audience.
