This night will appeal to fans of… Pavement, Dinosaur JR & Car Seat Headrest.
MY SON THE DOCTOR (10:00 p.m.) (Slacker rock - New York, US) Somewhere between ’90s slacker rock and the infectious pop-punk of the 2000s, Glamours, the debut album by Brooklyn quartet My Son The Doctor, perfectly captures the often wild, sometimes irreverent, and always catchy sound of a band at the forefront of the five boroughs’ indie rock scene. https://mysonthedoctor.bandcamp.com/music https://youtu.be/jgaRauyXYzY?si=cUCbNcB7ppmBSVfq DALTON (9:00 p.m.) (Garage pop - LVP Records - Paris, FR) DALTON is a Parisian post-punk band. Their music draws on the arty punk rock of the ’70s and early new wave (Jonathan Richman, B 52’s, Television, The Fall, Gang of Four), as well as several essential French singers (Daniel Darc, Dashiell Hedayat, Les Olivensteins). They perform in a spoken-sung style, with strange, mischievous lyrics. They have released several records, including their latest LP, « Soleil Orange » (LVP Records), which received widespread critical acclaim. For several years, they have been roaming northeastern Paris and occasionally the rest of France, playing feverish shows that bring old rockers and modern youngsters together. 3 influences: The Fall, Gang Of Four, Dashiell Hedayat https://open.spotify.com/artist/3VDylaT53QzIVrgDoj5UXO… https://youtube.com/@lesdaltons2013?si=DJEss9YjEnPk42Yc CAFÉ BIZARRE (8:00 p.m.) (Indie pop - Paris, FR) CAFÉ BIZARRE makes no secret of its influences: the New York music of the ’80s and ’90s. Television and the Modern Lovers come to mind (yes, they are from Boston…), as does Pavement (from Stockton, California). This is elegant, refined lo-fi rock that makes no attempt to hide its ever-raw emotions. And even when the guitars fill the space with distortion, they do so with a certain nonchalance, leaving room for vocals delivered with subtlety and restraint. Ultimately, their indie pop is best enjoyed with a touch of nostalgia for the years when musicians were still trying to invent a new kind of rock. 3 influences: Pavement, Television & Pixies https://cafebizarre.bandcamp.com/ http://www.youtube.com/cafbiz ——————————— Thursday, October 15, 2026 Free admission • Doors open at 7:00 p.m. • Happy Hour from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. • If you witness or experience an assault, you can alert the bar staff or, if you prefer, write to us at: [email protected]
