IGNIS by Collectif Sismique – Nicolas Fraiseau.
1 hour · For all audiences, ages 8 and up · under the big top When clowning meets poetry, our hearts race Marie-Céline Nivière - Coups d'Oeil, A ring, a Clown, fire. In an intimate circle, sheltered beneath a big top, a flame is lit. It flickers, roars, illuminates. From the discreet strike of a match to incandescent sprays, IGNIS unfolds an aesthetic of the miniature, the sensory and the ritualistic. The clown, both innocent and profound, observes, tries, fails and starts again. He learns to listen to this incandescent language, a mirror of our passions, fears and impulses. A dance takes shape between the clown and the fire, woven from taming, surprises and poetry. Within this circle, the clown learns the language of fire with gentleness and clumsiness. Through his mischievous gaze, he shares our transgressive fascination with flames. IGNIS places fire at the heart of the big top in a show that summons our most intimate and distant imaginings.
