This final event centered on the exhibition Simone Veil. My Sisters and I brings to the stage the intimate story of the Jacob family, on display at the Mémorial de la Shoah since December. It is the story of the young brother Jean, the adored mother Yvonne, the serious father André and, at its heart, the story of the three sisters: Simone, Madeleine, known as Milou, and Denise. This reading is an ode to the Jacob sisters and brings to life the letters that paint their lyrical and intimate portrait. Voiced by Jeanne Balibar, Dominique Reymond and Isabelle Huppert, the words of Milou, Simone and Denise resonate within us, urging us toward ever greater depth and integrity, sensitivity, discernment and courage.
