For ten days, the Esports World Cup is taking over Paris Plages with an area entirely dedicated to chess: four days of competition followed by six days of free access, open to everyone, from enthusiasts to those simply curious to discover or play chess along the Seine.

From August 6 to 16, Esports World Cup is taking over Paris Plages with 8 chess tables open to everyone, combining competition, casual play, and discovery. On August 6, 7, 8, and 9, four daily tournaments will bring together amateur players in an accessible format, giving everyone the chance to compete in a genuine tournament atmosphere. A separate single-elimination tournament will be held each day, culminating in the crowning of a winner. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each tournament! From August 10 through August 16, the space will become an open-play area. Visitors will be able to borrow a chess set free of charge from the reception desk, sit at one of the available tables, and play freely with friends, family, or other visitors. Activity leaders will be on hand to welcome visitors, explain the rules to beginners, and encourage players of all levels to meet one another. Designed as an accessible and welcoming social space, this installation will allow both enthusiasts and curious visitors to discover or rediscover chess in an exceptional summer setting at the heart of Paris Plages. Reserve your place in the Chess tournament!

Price: Reservation required from August 6 through August 9 inclusive; no reservation required from August 10 through August 16 inclusive.
