Bertrand Giraud Bertrand Giraud, a prizewinner at international competitions, is a renowned pianist who performs as a soloist, in recital, and with orchestras in the world’s leading concert halls. A graduate of the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Paris and de Genève, where he received the highest honors in piano and chamber music, he furthered his training through masterclasses with prestigious musicians such as András Schiff, Bruno Canino, and Paul Serkin, and was influenced by artistic encounters with figures including Christian Zerah and Aldo Ciccolini. In 2004, she graduated with the highest honors from the “V. Bellini” Musical Institute in Catania. After graduating, she continued her studies by earning a postgraduate academic specialization at the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna. She refined her vocal technique with several leading international teachers, including William Matteuzzi, Raina Kabaivanska, Renato Francesconi, R. Maragliano, Elio Battaglia, and Luciana Serra, who guided her artistic and professional development. She made her debut in 2004 in Catania in Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s opera Lo Frate 'Nnamorato, performing the role of Vannella under the direction of maestro Cinzia Pennesi. From then on, her career became international, earning praise from critics and audiences for the power of her voice and her stage charisma. Her major operatic roles have included Adina in Donizetti’s L'Élixir d'amour at Palazzo Sforzesco in Milan, Musetta and Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème, Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, the Countess and Susanna in Mozart’s Les Noces de Figaro, and Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata. She has performed on the stages of prestigious theaters such as Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine, Teatro Comunale de Monfalcone, Teatro Gustavo Modena de Palmanova, Teatro Jenco de Viareggio, and Château de Miramare in Trieste. Her performances as Rosina in Le Barbier de Séville and Giulia in Rossini’s La Scala di Seta, as well as her appearances as a soloist in numerous recitals and concerts, have confirmed her exceptional talent. Alongside her operatic career, she maintains a busy concert schedule and has had the privilege of performing as a soloist in major choral works, including Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with the Teatro del Giglio Lyric Symphony Orchestra.
