Marking the 85th anniversary of the opening of the Drancy camp

Opened in 1934, the cité de la Muette in Drancy is a vast modern housing development. Requisitioned during the war, it became France’s main internment and transit camp for Jews in 1941, prior to their deportation. This event will bring together two historians who have contributed extensively to the history of the Drancy camp, as well as an author offering a fresh perspective on it. Drawing on their work and the recent publication of a graphic novel about Georges Horan‑Koiransky, a key witness to life in the camp, they will revisit the history and memory of this emblematic site. With Hervé Duphot, graphic designer, illustrator and graphic novel author, and historians Michel Laffitte and Annette Wieviorka. Moderated by Eduardo Castillo. With the support of the Fondation pour la mémoire de la Shoah. Book now
