250 AD. To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the conquest of Gaul following Caesar’s victory over Vercingétorix, a grand imperial festival is being held throughout the Empire. Centurion Maximus Toujourplus and his faithful legionary Couloirdebus, inspectors of the imperial administration, are sent from Rome to oversee preparations in Lutèce. Their mission is to verify that the Parisii have fully adopted Roman practices, gods, and customs.
But some still hold out against the invader! A man named Dyonisius, whom his disciples call Denis, preaches a strange religion based on a single God and calls on the people of Lutèce to convert. From the Panthéon to the arènes de Lutèce, via the Cardo Maximus and the thermes de Cluny, embark on a humorous historical comedy paying tribute to the world of Astérix and discover the birth of Paris. These people of Lutèce are crazy!
