A generous and utterly captivating percussionist, Minino Garay has always drawn on the wealth of Latin American music and rhythms to create a jazz language all his own.
Minino Garay takes up residence at the JASS Club. For each evening, he brings together a trio and invites one or two musicians with whom he enjoys sharing the stage. Tonight, he welcomes a natural collaborator: saxophonist Baptiste Herbin, a virtuoso of rare sensitivity and a leading figure on the French jazz scene. Driven by the same passion and musical curiosity, their meeting was bound to lead to a joint project. Los Arregladores is the result: a celebration of the art of arranging, built around a deep and generous repertoire that embraces the full richness of Latin American music. Tonight, the duo expands into a quartet, joined by Leonardo Montana on piano and Felipe Cabrera on double bass.
