A poetic and political coming-of-age fable about the power of stories, resistance, and the strength of imagination.
King Ivar keeps his people in fear: dragons roam the land and threaten the kingdom’s safety. To protect it, the sovereign plunges the country into darkness and locks it inside a vast cage. When Georges, the king’s son, disappears, young Sabra sets out on a journey during which she discovers the power of images, shadows, and stories. Together, the two children learn to see through the lies that imprison them and to create an art capable of freeing minds.
