Created and coordinated by La Loge since 2013, the Festival Fragments has become a major showcase for emerging generations of contemporary theater artists. It gives companies an opportunity to present an initial stage of their work on an ongoing production. This gives the thirteen sponsored companies valuable visibility, helping them consolidate their productions and begin touring nationally.
Fragments has become an essential highlight of the regional and national arts scene, offering audiences the opportunity to discover ambitious artistic works in a wide range of forms and styles. A true springboard, it enables the selected teams to establish their identity, expand their network, and gain crucial visibility as their careers develop. Two “fragments” can be discovered at grand parquet: Noires Sœurs, chronique d’une famille décomposée Sorcières&Cie – Sabine Pakora The daughter of an Ivorian millionaire, Sabine Pakora was sent to France as a child to continue her education at a private boarding school. After her father’s businesses went bankrupt, she was placed in the care of child welfare services. Noires Sœurs, chronique d’une famille décomposée draws a parallel between the disintegration of her family unit and that of the primary forest in Côte d’Ivoire, connecting personal history with ecological, economic, and political catastrophe. La Chasse au lapin Compagnie Désemballer – Marie de Dinechin, Matteo Perez School is what made her want to speak. Because she heard little rabbits at school. She heard little rabbits at school complaining that they had been hunted. And that was when she thought, but I know what that’s like. And that was when she was told that it did not count.
