Come dance Swing at Studio de l'Ermitage for an unforgettable evening with Jacks'&'Jills Swing Band!
· 7:30 p.m.: Doors open · 8 p.m.: Lindy Hop introductory class with Manuel and Marie · 9 p.m.: Swing dance with Jacks'&'Jills Swing Band. A Paris-based swing jazz sextet, Jacks'&'Jills Swing Band performs great American swing standards from the 1920s and 1930s. Their varied repertoire features leading composers and performers of the Roaring Twenties, including Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and Billie Holiday. The musicians share one guiding principle: to convey their passion for this music and recreate the atmosphere of the great swing dances of the era! Jacks'&'Jills Swing Band regularly performs in France and abroad for Lindy Hop and Charleston dancers at festivals and swing dances. In 2018 and 2019, the band performed at Caveau de la Huchette, Bellevilloise, Nuit Swing, and Ballydehob Jazz Festival in Ireland. Since September 2022, the band has notably performed every month at Chantier in Montreuil.
