59 Rivoli - "Grandeur Nature" painting exhibition, September 1–13, 1 pm–8 pm.
How do we view our environment? What remains of natural spaces? What feelings arise when we encounter the forces of nature? The Grandeur Nature exhibition offers a striking visual response to these questions by showcasing paintings and prints by three artists who interpret natural landscapes in radically different ways, creating a rich and powerful dialogue between their works. Jeanne de Guillebon captures the movement of landscapes with great sensitivity in her paintings and prints. Martin Lassailly, a trained architect, subtly highlights in his paintings the contrast between the straight lines of human-made structures and the colorful, vibrant turmoil of their immediate surroundings. Cédric Selmi reimagines natural landscapes as flat geometric shapes to bring out the essence of their perspectives, colors, and sensations. Three painters, three distinctive perspectives that invite visitors to reconsider the importance they place on their relationship with the environment and encourage them to step outside their daily routine to experience and feel that connection.
