Go behind the scenes of the research world alongside passionate researchers with the CNRS Unusual Tours: from October 7 to 17, 2026, the CNRS is offering you the unique opportunity to visit laboratories and experimental facilities that are normally closed to the public. About Created in 2020, the CNRS Unusual Tours offer small groups the chance to discover extraordinary research sites each year. Inaccessible sites, unconventional experiments, and one-of-a-kind encounters are on the program throughout France for the lucky few selected by lottery. Price: How can you take part? From August 25 to September 20, 2026, internet users can try their luck by answering three questions related to the theme of their chosen tour. Winners will be randomly selected from among those who answered correctly to form groups of six to twelve people, depending on the tour.
