For the Zoot Festival celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Zoot Collectif, guitarists Clément Trimouille and Jack Kinsella present their first twelve-string collaboration: Jazz in 110V. The album is the natural outcome of a collaboration between these two longtime friends, who rank among the most original guitarists on the European scene. One is Parisian and the other is from northern England, yet their respective styles are remarkably similar. Inspired by their idols Kenny Burrell, Tal Farlow, Barney Kessel, Jimmy Raney, Billy Bean and many others, they offer a delightful blend of their own arrangements of Great American Songbook standards and gems from a more obscure repertoire, tailored to the two-guitar quartet format. Jazz in 110V is a canvas on which the tones of the two guitars blend—sometimes in unison, sometimes free-flowing—creating a subtle, poetic synthesis that explores a wide variety of moods and tempos.
