À propos

What happens when music is no longer presented as a concert, but as an experience to journey through? When it is no longer merely listened to, but inhabited?

With Cosmogonia, Yom presents an immersive performance at the intersection of concert, installation, and ritual. Conceived as a physical and mental journey, this solo creation invites the audience into a sensory space where sound becomes matter, breath, and vibration. The result of fifteen years of research and a long-standing technical obsession, Cosmogonia marks a turning point in Yom’s career. Alone on stage, without any additional instruments, he takes on a dizzying challenge: creating an uninterrupted flow of notes using only his clarinet. Through circular breathing, rapidly performed arpeggios, sound spatialization, and effects pedals activated live by the artist, phantom chords emerge, sometimes creating the impression that he is not alone on stage. Here, there is no narrative to follow; instead, audiences are invited to let shifting states, intensities, and soundscapes wash over them. Sound moves between bodies, transforms the perception of time, and opens up a rare, almost meditative listening space. Far removed from a conventional front-facing performance, Cosmogonia offers another way of being together: more intimate, more attentive, and more sensory. An immersive and restorative experience, conceived as a moment of collective musical meditation. An associate artist at Théâtre de la Concorde since the 2025-2026 season, Yom unveils his first solo work here, created following a residency at the theatre. A radical artistic statement driven by absolute faith in his instrument’s possibilities and in the power of sound as a sensory experience. This intimate version will be presented at Studio Cardin in October, followed by an expanded version in salle Joséphine Baker in November, as part of our theme dedicated to trust. His instantly recognizable playing blends precision and freedom, tradition and modernity.
