On the occasion of the Vie des Formes exhibition, presented by Afalula and Lafayette Anticipations, the École des Arts Décoratifs - PSL is launching the sixth issue of its journal, Décor.
Following Vulgaire, Trans, Contrefeu and Nuances, Décor #6 - Terminal explores the role of digital technology in our lives beyond its purely technological dimension, through contributions from artists, designers and thinkers. Conceived as a space for reflection on the transformations shaping the contemporary world, the journal Décor explores the decorative arts in the broadest sense: ways of living, inhabiting and perceiving the world. This new issue approaches the digital realm as a total phenomenon—cultural, political, economic, social, legal and aesthetic—and examines the infrastructures, practices and imaginaries that shape our living environments today. On the program: a presentation of issue 6 of Décor by its editorial and graphic design team; visual and sound installations drawn from its content throughout Lafayette Anticipations; a signing session and cocktail reception attended by Décor's editorial teams and contributors. The journal will be available for an exclusive preview sale at the Lafayette Anticipation bookshop on the evening of the launch, and will subsequently be available on the Éditions Dilecta website and in bookshops. 288 pages—Retail price: 25 euros. Décor is conceived and produced by the École des Arts Décoratifs - PSL and co-published with Éditions Dilecta. Publication director: Emmanuel Tibloux, director of the École des Arts Décoratifs - PSL. Editorial committee: Olivier Bienz, Elsa Boyer, Martin De Bie, Defne Elver, Marius Gauge, Luz Palacios-Aufrere-De-La-Preugne and Lola Sahli. Graphic design: Sarah Garcin and Julie Blanc, with contributions from Sami Jemli.
