Nature as a source of inspiration: An exhibition of Kei's illustrations
When nature becomes a work of art; Credits: KEI Throughout October, the Maurice Genevoix library is showcasing artist Kei's naturalist illustrations. Fascinated by the living world, she takes a sensitive and meticulous look at insects—small creatures that often go unnoticed but are essential to the balance of our ecosystems. Through a series of highly detailed black-and-white drawings, the artist reveals the wealth of shapes, textures, and details found in the insect world. Bumblebees, butterflies, ants, and true bugs become subjects of observation and creation in their own right, at the intersection of art and natural science. This exhibition is part of our special program, “Nature as a Source of Inspiration,” which invites visitors of all ages to see the living world around us in a new light and discover how it fuels artists' imaginations. To extend this encounter, on Saturday, November 28 at 4 p.m., Kei will lead an illustration workshop where participants can discover her artistic approach and try their hand at observing and drawing nature. Exhibition open for self-guided visits Workshop, for adults and children aged 8 and over; advance registration is required by calling 01 46 07 35 05, emailing [email protected], or asking your librarians in person. Limited places available. ; Credits: Kei Find out more about Kei here: Instagram @keikomasterdream
