with LSF/FR interpreters present. Jean-Yves Augros has been an LSF teacher, actor, stage director, among other things. Above all, he is an artist at heart. He is interested in every art form, but photography is where he has focused most of his creative energy. In 2012, he envisioned a new version of a painting held at the INJS de Paris to pay tribute to the Abbé de l'Epée (the photograph is on display at the library). Then, in 2026, his desire to create another large photograph bringing together many people led him to another painting at the INJS. Created in 1897, it depicts Félix Faure visiting the INJS and raises questions for Jean-Yves. Could this painting exist today? What has changed since then? And just who is this "great absent one"?
