Pablo, a young poet who has never been published, must rely on his family for financial support. Searching for love, he begins spending time with a circle of leather enthusiasts who practice sadomasochism. Sexuality soon becomes a way for him to assert his individuality. A year later, Pablo has written page after page about his sexual adventures and the treatment he is undergoing to manage his HIV-positive status. Adapted from the autobiographical novel by Pablo Perez, who co-wrote the screenplay, this debut feature by Argentinian director Anahi Berneri avoids clichés about the gay community, steering clear of voyeurism and cheap provocation. A raw, intimate drama rooted in the revival of Argentinian cinema in the 2000s. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Emmanuel Le Vagueresse, Professor at Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne and lecturer at the Collège universitaire Campus Euro-Américain de Sciences-Po in Reims, specializing in contemporary Hispanic literature and cinema.
