Wing Chun, or Wing-Tsun, is a style of Kung Fu stripped of all acrobatics to make it a remarkably fast and effective weapon in close-quarters combat. This martial art owes its international fame to Grandmaster Yip Man and the renowned practitioner Bruce Lee. Classes are open to practitioners from all lineages (Wing Tsun, Ving-Tsun, Wing-Chun, etc.) and to beginners. The program covers several themes depending on the class: fighting, self-defense, chi-sao, taolu, etc. KALI ESKRIMA AND PANATUKAN CLASSES (2) Filipino martial arts featuring weapon-based self-defense (Kali Eskrima) and unarmed self-defense (Panatukan); Credits: ©UFPWTS What are Eskrima and Panatukan? Kali Eskrima is an ancient Filipino martial art that teaches, among other things, how to defend yourself using all kinds of weapons and everyday objects. Training is carried out with 30 cm bamboo or wooden sticks. By learning to handle weapons, you will gain a more realistic approach that will help you deal more effectively with armed attacks. In addition to learning how to handle sticks, training then expands to weapons and all kinds of objects that can be used with formidable effectiveness in self-defense. Perfectly suited to street fighting, Panatukan (dirty boxing) also includes unarmed training, using every part of the body as a weapon.
