Gabrielle Rachel, Rozann Bezier and Jessica Simon bring their talents together in a groundbreaking project born from their shared passion for the trombone, composition, and musical creation.
Inspired by Melba Liston, a major 20th-century trombonist and composer, they pay tribute to her work while asserting their own voice. Before long, they felt compelled to go further: composing and arranging their own music for this unique ensemble and exploring the full sonic potential of three trombones playing together. Drawing on their backgrounds, influences, and artistic personalities, the three musicians are developing an original repertoire in which their musical worlds meet, respond to one another, and complement each other. Combining power, subtlety, virtuosity, and rich tonal textures, Gabrielle, Rozann and Jessica offer bold, distinctive music that reflects both their talent and their rapport.
