Jean Soulat, archaeologist and piracy specialist, has the honor of returning to the Université Ouverte to answer your questions about pirates.
During this event, we will have an intervention by Jean Soulat regarding his research, and the screening of the documentary "Madagascar, the Lair of Pirates," directed by Stéphane Bégoin and David Tiago Ribeiro. This documentary follows the expedition of a team of archaeologists, which includes Jean Soulat, whose mission is to uncover the secrets of a shipwreck located on Sainte-Marie Island in Madagascar. From discovery to discovery, we will learn more about these pirates and their way of life. This event will conclude with a friendly book signing moment with Jean. If you wish to purchase one or more books written by our archaeologist, the Maruani bookstore will be present on site!
