1st edition of the 1st Crossed Arts Festival on the Petite Ceinture at Porte d'Orléans
A crossed arts festival in the style of a cultural marathon, between the rails of the former Petite Ceinture, the former Montrouge station (Le Poinçon), and Maison Le Kinff. From Saturday, October 10 (11 am to 1 am) through Sunday, October 11 (11 am to 9 pm), come take a step back and experience arts that intersect, creating varied, lively, and enriching exchanges! For this inaugural edition, Renversements (Paris 14) has invited several cultural actors from the 14th arrondissement for an uninterrupted sequence of concerts, street art to music, musical and choreographic performances, roundtables, artistic processions, pop-up libraries, presentations of works in progress, open stages for conservatory students and neighborhood residents, to think together about Travel, forced or otherwise. Several sections will follow one another, punctuated by festive moments of exchange: "Jazz!", exploring transatlantic relations through the lens of European travels by American musicians and authors, "Walls?", addressing questions of freedom deprivation, forced travels linked to wars and totalitarian regimes, and the relationship to truth in transmitting testimonies, "Territories…" and "Roots?", exploring migrations between Europe and Africa (human and otherwise), as well as exchanges across the world, the feeling of belonging to a territory that wasn't originally yours, of making an ephemeral territory your own, and "Travel!", an ode to road trips and emancipation through travel.
