À propos

The Arab World Institute honors young researchers whose work contributes to renewing knowledge of the societies, cultures and worlds of the Middle East and Muslim worlds.

During the ceremony, the following will be presented: - The Michel Seurat Prize, which aims to distinguish and provide financial support to a young researcher from a European country or a country of the Near East or the Maghreb. It thus contributes to promoting mutual knowledge and understanding between French society and the Arab worlds, approached in their plurality and understood as an open space in interaction with the rest of the world. - The Islam, Middle East and Muslim Worlds (IMOMM) thesis prizes, which comprise several prizes awarded to young doctors who defended their theses in letters and human and social sciences between 2024 and 2025. These theses are at the heart of the most innovative research, both at the methodological and theoretical level and in the mobilization of original sources. They testify to the vitality of this field of study and help us better understand the societies of the Middle Eastern and Muslim worlds. This ceremony is organized by the Scientific Interest Group Middle East and Muslim Worlds (GIS MOMM) and the Institute for the Study of Islam and Muslim World Societies (IISMM). The detailed program of the ceremony will be available soon.

Fee: Free admission with reservation Upper Council Room (level 9) All spaces at the Arab World Institute are accessible to wheelchair users (UFR).
