Chronicles of Flesh: a plastic surgeon’s inventory.
Jacques Mateu devoted much of his life to cosmetic plastic surgery and another part of it to theater. After leaving the operating room for the last time, he takes to the stage to explore the many questions surrounding the body and, through numerous patient accounts, examine both the excesses and the miracles of this art—sometimes revered, sometimes criticized, yet so widely misunderstood. A fiery performer, Mateu displays tremendous energy, plays with our emotions, and reflects on both his own journey and a profession that inspires so much fascination.
