Come and discover the very best of design from the Arab world: a selection of works by the finalist designers for the Institut du monde arabe Design Award 2026. Meet the finalists for the 2026 Design Award Bringing together a prestigious jury, this award aims to spotlight both emerging and established designers from the region by showcasing their expertise, creative ingenuity, and development of new materials. Through the lens of design, it offers a contemporary perspective on the Arab world's exceptional art of living. The exhibition brings together the finalists of this 4th edition, selected across five categories: - Emerging Talent Award (student or designer with less than 10 years of professional practice): this award focuses particularly on solutions addressing challenges specific to Arab countries, manufacturing processes, and development potential. - Contemporary Craftsmanship Award: looking to the future, this award, created at the initiative of Nada Debs, honors craftsmanship that reinterprets traditions—including through the use of technological innovations—to address contemporary challenges such as sustainability, personalization, and the promotion of local heritage. - Impact Award, Arab Bank Switzerland: this award recognizes social impact (education and knowledge-sharing, preservation of territories, protection of communities); environmental impact (ecological solutions, local production, promotion of low-carbon materials); and economic impact (development of effective processes and technologies, modernization of traditions, and job creation). - Grand Prix (architect or designer with more than 10 years of professional practice): this award recognizes a tangible achievement—an object or interior architecture project—that showcases the talent developed by its creator over the course of an acclaimed career. - New to this edition, the People's Choice Award is presented to one of the finalists following an online voting campaign.
