For our first film club event of the new season, we present the inaugural Animation Night. French director and screenwriter Jérémy Clapin has made his mark with a distinctive world at the crossroads of animation, fantasy, and intimate storytelling. I LOST MY BODY (2019) is a film about what connects us to ourselves, to others, and to what we have lost. Through the strange and determined journey of a hand searching for its body, Jérémy Clapin crafts a story of love, memory, and rebuilding, where animation becomes a realm of freedom that is not reserved for children. With its own unique language, animated cinema can move audiences of all ages and tell the most intimate stories with unparalleled freedom. A profoundly original film, both poetic and deeply moving, in which a single hand ultimately carries an entire life. Jérémy Clapin, together with his producer Marc du Pontavice and their team, will meet you on Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. for a discussion after the screening of I LOST MY BODY. As usual, a complimentary drink will be offered before the screening. You will also have the chance to enter our prize draw and win gifts! This screening is organized in partnership with Animation society and Xilam Animation. Ciné-club programming by Van Papadopoulos.
