To mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, the Korea Film Club presents a special edition featuring a selection of films and short films by young filmmakers from the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA).
Organized in collaboration with KAFA, one of Korea’s leading film schools, the program showcases a new generation of filmmakers across a variety of genres, from thrillers and dramas to animation. - The Lovers of Pyongyang (2025) | Animation, Drama | Bo-Sol Kim | 74 min | French subtitles Isak Borg is the first secretary at the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang, where he is under constant surveillance. He is secretly in a relationship with Bok-joo, a traffic officer. Knowing their time is limited, they cherish each of their clandestine meetings. After a suspicious man visits their hideout, Bok-joo suddenly disappears. Isak sets out to find her, while growing wary of his interpreter, Lee Myeong-jun.
