On September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Ô Ville-Âges association will host the “UFOS, BRICS AND GEOPOLITICS” conference, initiated by the UAP Afrique collective, at its premises in Massy.
This event focuses on the position of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, etc.) regarding unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP/UFOs), amid growing international disclosure. The conference follows on from the landmark conference held at the French National Assembly on June 29, 2026, entitled “Research into Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena Beyond Fantasy.” Organized by MPs Arnaud Saint-Martin (LFI) and Pierre Henriet (Horizons), it brought together experts from GEIPAN (CNES), military personnel, sociologists and journalists for a rational, scientific approach free from conspiracy theories. It was the first time the subject had officially been addressed at the Palais Bourbon, with a focus on its history, French investigations and international comparisons, particularly with the Pentagon. The conference also echoes the US declassifications initiated under the Trump administration: several waves of documents—including more than 160 files in the first release in May 2026 through the PURSUE/War.gov portal, followed by further batches—from the Pentagon, FBI, NASA and others. These archives span decades and include videos, photographs and reports, many of them “unresolved,” while highlighting the geopolitical significance of the issue, including sightings near sensitive sites and possible competition with Russia and China.Focus on BRICS and geopoliticsThe conference aims to explore how BRICS powers perceive and address the UFO issue, potentially as a matter of technological sovereignty, intelligence or strategic narratives: Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Indonesia, etc. UAP Afrique, which promotes an inclusive African perspective through exhibitions and the collection of eyewitness accounts, emphasizes that Africa, the cradle of humanity, could enrich the global understanding of the phenomenon.
