“Oh, daddy” is a multidisciplinary arts event bringing together poetry, dance, and live music, organized by poets Justine Raphet and Diong-Kéba Tacu.
At the center of a circle formed by the audience, 9 artists — four poets, four dancers, and one musician — come together to create three improvised performances. Inspired by the energy of hip-hop battles, “Oh, daddy” borrows their conventions — intensity, circularity, and spontaneity — and transforms them into a vibrant space for artistic encounters, without competition. Each performance gives rise to a unique, ephemeral work created in the moment. “Oh, daddy” offers an immersive, dynamic experience where disciplines intersect and words enter into dialogue with bodies.
